How to Find Previously Installed Apps on Your iPhone

Are you looking for a way to find the apps you've previously installed on your iPhone? You can easily locate them in the App Store app, or by using Spotlight Search. Here's how to find previously installed apps on your iPhone. To search for your apps in the iPhone app library, go to the home screen and swipe left across all pages of the home screen. Tap the search field at the top of the screen and enter the name of the app you're searching for. Or, scroll up and down to browse the alphabetical list.

To open an app, tap it. You can also view the history of iOS apps on your phone or in iTunes. On your iPhone, open the App Store app and tap Updates in the lower right corner. Tap Purchased (if you have a family account, you may have to tap My Purchases) to see a list of all the apps you've downloaded, both on and off your current device. To see a list of apps that aren't currently installed on your device, tap Not on this iPhone. Tap the App Store app icon on the home screen of your iPhone.

You'll see shortcuts (officially called quick actions), one of which is the Purchased tab. Tap it and then tap My Purchases to access your list of previously downloaded apps. If you want to see the apps that you downloaded with a different Apple ID, you'll first need to sign out of your current account and sign in to your old one. But if you're going to use Spotlight Search and find that it doesn't show apps in your search results, you'll need to configure Spotlight Search to show apps in your results. On the All tab, you'll see all the apps you've purchased or downloaded with your current Apple ID or iCloud. Sometimes app developers choose to create a new app instead of updating an older one, so the dates on the shopping list may not always reflect them. While Apple allows you to redownload most apps, keep in mind that some of them aren't suitable for re-downloading.

In addition, apps that Apple removed from the App Store won't even appear in your purchase history to begin with. At the top of this list you'll find the apps that are compatible with your device; scroll down to see a list of the non-compatible apps associated with your account. Keep in mind that this tab is a bit misleading because it contains both the apps you've purchased and the apps you've downloaded for free. If an app has a cloud icon with an arrow pointing down, it means that it isn't currently on your phone but can be downloaded again. In the It's Not on This iPhone tab, you'll find all the apps you had on previous devices and those you've deleted from your current device. Now that you know how to find your app's purchase history, you can easily download some of your old favorites. With these simple steps, finding previously installed apps on your iPhone is easy!.
